I was too tempted

Senses distorted

Finances charted

Spending rewarded

Who is holdin’ all the cash

That everyone is bleeding

Gonna be a backlash

Economy receding

Then I fell into

Livin’ on credit

The lure of progress

Drove me to get it and do it fast

Gotta be a lotta cash

Gonna be a backlash

So I’ve been thinkin’

What is the matter with all of us

The world is sinkin’

Some gettin fatter anyway
