I look around and see people suffer

I want to cry because I know

With things today

It don’t have to be so

Resistance, Question what they say

Persistence, Making every effort

Assistance, Find a better way

Insistence, Resolute to solve things

Now

I make a stand because I believe

I say what I think ‘cause I know how I feel

It breaks my heart

To see who’s at the wheel

I speak my mind and have no doubt

I see a time when they won’t allow this

But by my word

I will succeed somehow
